Instructions:
You are going to paint! Make sure you take all the steps; this is also part of your grade and is to help you find your own style in painting.
Goals:
Experiment and try different things with paint and choose what suits you. Practice painting an object and how to make an interesting composition.

Steps
Step 1 Experiment with paint
Try different things with paint. What kind of different things can you do with this material? Write down what you did. Make 2 experiments per A4 paper.
TIPS: - Don't make it to small, use the full size of the paper - The more you have the better! |

Step 2 Experiment with paint and …?
If the paint is dry use half of it to combine it with a different material. What happens when you go over it with crayon? And how does ink match?

Step 3 Practice with abstraction
In class we’re going to practice making things abstracted or completely abstract. Make these in your portfolio.
HOMEWORK: Bring a printed out picture where you are going to base your abstract painting on. Choose something based on colour/shape/texture etc.

Step 5: Make final, big painting
- Every part of the paper covered with paint, no white of the paper shown
- Use MIXED colours
- Experiment with paint and preferably other materials
- Abstraction, not clear what is shown on painting
Evaluate
- Add ALL photo's to your EXISTING Sway
- Write down
- what you did
- the choices you’ve made
- what you like, didn’t
- what you’ve learned
- If you’ve missed a lesson, write that down
- Give yourself a grade (and tell me why)
